Lincoln Park Basement Home Office Gets Hit with Storm Damage

Strong storms in the Lincoln Park area caused water damage in this basement home office. The homeowner contacted SERVPRO for water cleanup. At first glance of the Before Photo, it is difficult to tell that the floor is saturated. The technicians arrived and moved the sensitive computer equipment out of the vicinity during the cleanup. Unfortunately, the glue-down carpet needed removal in order to dry the substrate underneath. SERVPRO techs performed a pack out to ensure the homeowner’s home office equipment and other needed items were safely stored until the water mitigation tasks were completed. As seen in the After Photo, the technicians dried as much of the room furnishings in place as possible so the property owner would not have to spend a ton of time setting their home office back up again.
