Old Tappan Library Needs Fast Action for Water Cleanup
This Old Tappan library had a large amount of commercial water damage. SERVPRO technicians found a large portion of the carpet was saturated from the water. Due to the seepage issue, areas of the carpet required removal so the subfloor underneath could get dried. SERVPRO technicians extracted the water using portable pumps to make the carpet lighter and safer to handle during the removal and disposal of the ruined portion of the carpet. The After Photo shows the library with the water-damaged carpet gone and the subfloor underneath exposed. The books did not need to be moved to another area during the restoration service. The techs were able to bring down the interior humidity levels rapidly, and the books, periodicals, and papers were not affected.
